Just recently discovered "Whyaduck" and it helps preserve what is left of my sanity. Like Richard Shaw I live in U.K. and 9 p.m. Eastern time is 2 a.m. unreasonable time over here. Any chance of an alternative time so we can play too?
Keep up the good work, Frank. This is my favourite site.

Hey Rodger! Wish I could help you, but I'm in Michigan U.S. myself. However, let me assure you that I've been sitting on the chat for a half-hour here, and no one's popped in. You don't seem to be missing much!

I am in Western Canada, and 9:00 is a great time for me, except 9:00 my time is 11:00 Eastern. I use to stop by frequently, but I have had a few problems with my computer. Hopefully they are now fixed, and I will try again this week.

The chat room is open all the time, but most people try to get there on Sunday evenings around 9:00 Eastern.

Hopefully I will see you there.

Well, I've been pretty bad about showing up for the regularly scheduled chat myself. And Frankly, I'm open to any suggestions for alternate times.

I think the only way I could make it to a U.K. compatible chat would be if we held it on Saturday or Sunday mornings or afternoons, my time. I know that the newly-formed Teen Chat meets on Sunday afternoons at four, which would be 9:00 pm your time, right Roger? Well, the teens on the list have certainly displayed an openness to allowing anyone in, so that's an option. Or perhaps getting a jump on the teens and starting at 3:00 Eastern U.S. time? What do others think?

The next regularly-scheduled, not-necessarily-teen chat is at 9:00 p.m., Eastern U.S. time, on Sunday. I'm going to do my best to make it, at least for a short time. Unfortunately, I have work to do for a client and I promised Kathy I'd help her finalize the formatting of her soon-to-be-published book, so I'm not sure how long I'll be able to hang out. But I will be in the chat area at the scheduled time and stay as long as possible (this is Sunday, July 9th I'm talking about).

Apart from this, if any of our non-U.S. friends would like to schedule a time convenient for them, I'd be happy to post the details in the hopes others will show up. And I'd be very much interested in brainstorming a more world-friendly chat time. How about 10:00 a.m. Eastern U.S. time on Sunday? This would be 7:00 in the morning on the left coast of the U.S., 3:00 in the afternoon in the U.K., and 11:00 p.m. in Perth. A scheme like this seems the most likely to catch on for most of the world. Of course this would be midnight in Tokyo and something like 5:00 a.m. in Hawaii, but there's just no pleasing some people.

I hope others will weigh in on this topic as well.

Frank
