I just caught a tribute to Groucho in one of the most unlikely of places!

An episode of the children's cartoon program, "Pokemon", features a character named "Dr.Quackenpoker", a resident expert on the creatures known as pokemon.

They had a pretty good characterisation done of him; at one point he says, "Well, now that the plot has come to a screeching halt, let's take a look at your sketchbook." He looks at the sketchbook and says, "Very good, I can see you have a wonderful future ahead of you." The guy he's talking to says, "You really think so?" To which Groucho-I mean, Dr.Quackenpoker-replies, "Well, you can't have a future behind you, now can you?

It was pretty cool, and it made me realize that there's recently been a whole mess of tributes and references to Groucho and the Marx Brothers as a whole; it probably has something to do with the inside buzz surrounding the new movie about their lives that's supposedly coming out soon. I, for one, am looking forward to this movie and hope that it turns out to be a success.
