You say "all 14" when only 13 Marx movies were released. Does this mean they're including "Story of Mankind?" If so, I'd like to see it for historical reasons if not for entertainment; I've never seen the movie.

Perhaps when he said all 14 he meant they will include Humor Risk. Well, we can but dream.

Frank, you do not want to see "The story of mankind". It is in my own personal top ten worst films ever made. Cedric Hardwicke sits in a cloud and decides whether or not man should die by H bomb. Vincent Price is the prosecutor and Ronald Colman is the defence. All sorts of stars were persuaded, presumably at gunpoint, to appear. Groucho looks tired, Chico (as a monk!) has a straght part and only Harpo has any verve at all - and he is supposed to be Isaac Newton. Their section I think is supposed to be a humorous interlude but it has all the humour of an open sore.

Believe me, you'll only watch it once.

Howdy there;

Did anyone see the first part of the Marx Brothers marathon on TCM? I couldn't stay up too late to see the whole thing,but what I did see was great. I think it's neat that TCM is showing the films in chronological order. I just got TCM, and it's already my favorite channel. By the way,if you miss any of the marathon,TCM will be rerunning the films on December 31 as part of an all-day comedy marathon(although I don't know if "The Story of Mankind" will be a part of it). Anyway,gotta go.

Hi again;

Here I am, with my TV set firmly on Turner Classic Movies, and what do you suppose is on? A Day at the Races! I just got the first two nights on tape and I am currently recording tonight's batch of Marx. Since I have tomorrow off from work, I'll be able to watch the full evening. Any comments on what TCM has aired so far?

Our cable package doesn't include TCM any more, so I'm jealous of all of you. Through the magic of VHS,(we haven't moved into the 21st century yet), we screened our own Marx- a-thon, and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great way to ring in the new year!
